Scissors

CATEGORY DESCRIPTION
Micro Scissors Micro scissors have squeeze-type handles and very fine blades. These scissors cut soft tissue.
Miscellaneous Scissors Bandage scissors, suture scissors, and microintraocular scissors are all specialty type instruments that may be useful in your application.
Round Handle Scissors The long, round handle of these scissors make their use under a microscope easy and comfortable. The handles are hollowed out to reduce the overall weight of the instrument.
Standard Scissors Standard scissors include dissecting, Iris, Mayo, Metzenbaum and others with ring-handles. These scissors are used for gross dissection and cutting tougher tissue that may dull the micro scissors.
SuperCut Scissors SuperCut scissors have special blades that grasp the tissue firmly and then cut like knife blade. The microserrations on one blade hold the tissue in place, and the knife-edge of the other blade slices the tissue with minimal trauma to the surrounding tissue.
SuperCut with Tungsten Carbide Scissors These scissors combine the features of the regular SuperCut scissors but with the addition of Tungsten Carbide blades. Tungsten Carbide is harder than stainless steel and therefore keeps its sharp edge longer. These are the finest cutting scissors available.
Tungsten Carbide Blades Scissors Standard scissors with Tungsten Carbide blades offer the same general cutting features with the addition of a longer blade life. Use these scissors when cutting tougher material.
